Malfono Ninos Aho: April 24, 1945 – July 15, 2013
It is with great sorrow that we inform you of the passing of Malfono Ninos Aho on July 15, 2013 in San Pedro, CA, surrounded by his loved ones. Malfono’s life came full circle today; July 15th marks the anniversary of the founding of the Mtakasto Othurayto Demoqrotayto (Assyrian Democratic Organization) of which he was a founding member, as well as the holiday of Mor Kiryakos of Girkeh-Shamo, Malfono’s village in Syria. Until his last breath, he lived his life as he always did, a true patriot.
Ninos Aho’s ideology will live forever through his poetry and the passion & pride he instilled in Assyrians around the world. The truest way to honor him and his dedication to Mighty Assyria will be to work as steadfastly as he did to ensure that:
“Othur g’qaymo b’2050!”
“Atour b’qema 2050!”
“Assyria will rise in 2050!”
We thank the community from the bottom of our hearts for the love and support they have shown us through these difficult times. We will update everyone here and on Malfono’s Facebook fan page with details of the services as soon as they become available.
Tawdi Sagi w Basima Raba,
The Aho Family
